Privacy policy

This page explains what LinkKati collects, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
- Account data: your name, email, handle, password (stored as a one-way hash), and your page and links.
- How the site is used: pages visited, clicks, scroll depth, engaged time, where a visit came from (referring site and UTM campaign tags), and device type, browser, operating system and screen size.
- Approximate location: country and region from our hosting network. For visits to creators' pages, city and approximate coordinates may also be recorded; only admins can see them.
- For account holders: what you do in your dashboard (for example adding links, publishing your page, changing its style), linked to your account so we know what to improve.
2. What we don't do
- We don't store IP addresses. For site statistics we use your address only in the moment, to compute an anonymous code that changes every day.
- We don't record what you type into forms, and secret link tokens never reach our analytics.
- We never sell your data or share anything that identifies you personally. We only use the service providers that run LinkKati on our behalf: hosting (Vercel), database (MongoDB Atlas), image storage, email and notifications, and Google if you sign in with it.
- Push notifications reach only the devices where you allowed them, through your browser's own push service (Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft). We keep that device's push address for this alone, and you can turn them off at any time in notification settings.
3. Cookies

4. Your choices
In the EU and EEA you choose: accept all, basic only, or customize. Until you choose, we use essential cookies only and count visits without cookies, using only an anonymous code that changes every day. You can change your choice at any time under “Cookie settings”.
Everywhere else we show a notice, and by continuing to use LinkKati you agree to the usage data collection described above.
When you publish your page, it is also listed in the Explore directory with your name, photo, profession and bio, so visitors and search engines can find it. You can hide it from the directory at any time in your dashboard without unpublishing it.

- Detailed site usage events: 30 days.
- Visits and clicks on creators' pages: 180 days.
- Account data: as long as your account exists; it is deleted with the account.
6. Contact and data requests
To get a copy of your data, have it deleted, or ask anything about privacy, contact us through Support in your dashboard.

Ads may appear on public pages and free posts; pages on paid plans show none. The ad is picked in your browser after the page loads, and impressions and clicks are counted with a derived anonymous id (no IP address is stored). Visitor data is never sold to advertisers.
